I support the HVO South Continuation Project as has avoided impacts to critical ecological communities and will continue to support employment across the Hunter region.
Many mining options cross the Hunter will disappear over the next 10 years, and the continuation of mining at HVO will assist to avoid the economic downturn across the Hunter.

This will be great for employment and the Futcher of the Hunter Valley.

The continuation of HVO is vital to me personally and the community I have lived in for the last 38 years. My friends and family have benefited greatly through coal mining and the contributions the mines have made to the Hunter valley. The continuation of HVO is needed to maintain the quality of life in the area moving forward.

I fully endorse this project as it supplies 1000's of local jobs for permanent employees, contractors and local businesses in the area.

HVO has responsibly mined in the local area for 70 years, employing over 1500 people directly and indirectly, supporting hundreds of suppliers in the local community. Contributing billions to the Australian economy. It is crucial this project is approved for local families and the Australian economy to survive in difficult times.

I am writing to show my support for the HVO Continuation Project.

HVO is a backbone of the Hunter Valley's economy, directly employing over 1500 jobs and supporting many more businesses (around 800 suppliers) and people within the Singleton area, Hunter Valley and beyond. There is no current alternative available that can cushion or accommodate the significant impact (of displaced workers and loss of business) that the closure of HVO would entail.

I have been fortunate to work at HVO for the past 18 months and have been very impressed with their interest in driving safety initiatives, supporting the community, and care for environmental sustainability. Notably seen through HVO recently taking onboard the feedback around emissions for their last submission and reducing the LOM and mining output limits to drop scope 1 emissions by 43%.

I am very keen to see this project succeed, given I am a younger engineer who is interested in staying at HVO - both for the care of continued economic growth in the Hunter Valley area, and importantly to start a family.

I fully support the continuation of the HVO Project, recognising its critical contribution to energy security, regional employment, and the local economy. The project demonstrates a strong commitment to responsible operations, environmental management, and long-term community benefit, and I endorse its progression.

As a father of 2 young children, this project will continue to support my family as well as my direct community. I have an extensive amount of friends and family that rely on the industry and HVO operations in particular. As one of the biggest operations in the Hunter Valley, it will sustain and encourage the local economy as well as ensuring the community is functioning with the financial support from donations and community support.
