I support this project as it benefits the community and provides income to a lot of families myself included. I believe it would be wrong to reject this proposal it would damage a lot of peoples livelihood

I fully support the project, HVO has been a great asset for the hunter and particularly my hometown of singleton. I currently live in singleton and feel HVO is part of why the community is such great place to live and raise a family. the continuation project being approved will be an integral part of keeping the community thriving, HVO provides sound financial stability to the region at a time and in an industry that is not so stable and feel if it is not approved would cause for financial hardship for the region.

Mining is an important part of the hunter culture in which I’ve been raised my entire life. I am new to the industry myself but I am awed at the opportunities the lifestyle has blessed me with. I am very pleased with the overview and planning HVO is claiming to achieve and I wish for the project to continue, whether I am within the company and/or the local community.

This site is the link to both West and South. Without it the South has the potential to close anyways.. so I support this project in the North as it's a vital link between the West and South.

This business provides both the following:
- over 1500 local and surrounding jobs for tradespeople, apprentices, managers, and contractors
- coal/electricity/power/energy for our nations economy that is CRUCIAL for our country’s financial development, especially after COVID 19
- taxes and royalties that support local schools, hospitals, roads, as well as contributing to the wages for teachers, police persons, nurses, etc.
- continuing to support local charities and community projects, through HVO apprenticeship community days (e.g. building/maintaining community gardens/parks, or building outside play-areas for primary schools)

HVO pays my mortgage, two family members work at HVO. I also work in mining.
Mining is dependent for those people living in the Hunter Valley.
Without coal we can’t turn on our lights
Mining is vital for the economy

Coal mining in the valley is the largest job source. It is not an ideal industry. But it is what we have due to politicians selling Australian assets for short term gains with no sight of the future. Until Australia begins making and selling products we will need to continue mining as a source of income. Hopefully working to a future where we will no longer need to rely on selling our finite assets to make money as a nation.

I believe that HVO continuing it's operations well into the future is essential for economic sustainability of the Hunter region and its communities.

I support the project as it not only provides jobs and stability for myself and those I work with, it also continues to support local businesses and the community.
