As a person who grew up at Havilah, just to the west of Lue, I strongly protest the Bowdens Silver Mine near Lue. This mine serves as a short-term economic gain for a small few people and leaves a whole community with potentially devastating environmental impacts forever. We live in a beautiful part of the world and to have such vibrant and tourism and agricltural industries put at risk because of the Silver Mine seems incredibly short-sighted by the regulating bodies. As a man who in the near future will be bringing a young family back to the country and living downstream of the mine, I am concerned also at the negative health effects the dust and water pollution will have on my young children. What a shame for this mine to go ahead so faceless corporates can fill their pockets at the expense of our land, our health and our livelihoods. I urge you to reconsider this proposal by Bowdens and look to the long-term prosperity of the Mudgee region. Farmland is being destroyed every day, we need to preserve every spuare metre we can to ensure the health and wellbeing of our economy and the ability to do our part to feed the world. Should the Silver Mine go ahead, it will devastate our small, tight-knit community and the wider Mudgee region, potentially destroying vast areas of farmland and ruining our burgeoning tourism industry. Mining has been great for the Mudgee region and has bought incredible wealth, however a small Silver mine in such a sensitive area with huge, long-lasting negative impacts seems to be an irrational decision.

I hope you consider all our submissions and imagine if you were in the same boat, everything you ever owned could be ruined for short-term gain of a few people you will never see or meet.

kind regards,

Richie Inglis

Since following the progress of the Bowdens Silver project for several years, I have become a great supporter. As the project comes to life, I believe it will positively impact local, state and national outcomes.
In a time where the world is vastly living in economic uncertainty, groups and commercial ventures willing to put so much time, effort and investment to launch such projects should be welcomed and commended.
The surrounding and local areas will benefit from employment and organic economic growth.
Once the project is active, increased proceeds would feed into the Government via the company and individual tax revenue. The mined resources will then ultimately become an exportable commodity for our country and assist in driving our nation to more prosperity.
Silver is a limited resource on the globe with the risk for a shortage due to decreased production and increasing industrial and commercial uses, not to mention the investment case for silver bullion.
It would be a significant step in the right direction (at particularly the right time) to get the project underway.

The Bowden's Project is a significant mineral resource project development. Such projects are the basis for much of Australia's wealth by the receipt of foreign currency, royalties to the state, local job creation in a depressed rural area and increased shire rates. The project will utilise poor, highly degraded agricultural land that has been consolidated into a meaningful area. Strict environmental studies over many years has resulted in a strong management plan which includes the high value use of waste water from a coal mine in the Hunter Valley.

Looking at the minerals that SVL sits on top of and has not yet mined, added to the historical significance of silver's role in times of economic downturn in conjunction with gold - combined with the mining of an alloy essential for medical manufacturing and industrial (economic) output appears vital for Australia now more than ever.

This concern means nothing to you but We are very concerned. About the quality of the rest of our life here in. Lue. thanking you for allowing me to Put in this Submission. Alan Jameson.

the project represents great economic benefits for the region, NSW and Australia. I feel comfortable the company (Silver Mines Ltd) demonstrates best practice ESG responsibilities, which is my primary criteria for support.

I believe that the project will provide a much needed boost to local employment and upskilling of people in the area. Having visited the area many times and both interested in its beautiful environment and its warm local community, I would like to see this project go ahead particularly as it is run by an Australian company. I feel that the Bowdens' silver project will not only increase employment prospects for rural youth in the area but its committed use of local businesses and suppliers has, and will grow the local economy considerably.
