I believe this project should proceed for the following reasons.

It will bring valuable economic benefit to the Tarago and greater region.
It will contribute to the national renewable energy target as well as NSW net 0 emissions by 2050.
During construction the project would help most of the near by towns/townships/ localities with increased revenue.
It is also good to know the proponent has allowed the community the opportunity to benefit from the project via its benefit sharing program.
This is separate to the community enhancement fund which allow the broader community to also benefit. From the CCC minutes EPYC has committed to helping the broader region by speaking with telecommunication providers to help the rural residents with mobile reception. I could not imagine living in the country with no mobile reception.

I object to the Jupiter windfarm, there are too many houses in this area being alot of hobby farm rural residential style subdivisions and its about time the department realize they need to reconsider allowing windfarms in areas that are not majority primary production, these areas are being populated by working families for the sole purpose of being in a quiet area with no industry & views of the countryside. Tarago is becoming the dumping ground for the department with the 2 existing windfarms, the mine & further mining expected & the veiolia garbage stench, with no real benefit to the community at all, there is more growth througg hobby farm subdivision. Move these turbines out of this area.

I OPPOSE the Jupiter Wind Farm being built near our
R U R A L-R E S I D E N T I A L properties
because Wind Farms are INDUSTRIAL FACILITIES and need to be placed away from R U R A L-R E S I D E N T I A L properties, where they are NOT impacting
P E O P L E who have specifically chosen to live in this environment of rural harmony.

I have nothing against renewable energy, indeed we are off the grid with a passive solar house, solar panels & batteries.

I OPPOSE the Jupiter Wind Farm being built near our
R U R A L-R E S I D E N T I A L properties.

I'm against the jupiter wind farm.
I'm a volunteer fire fighter with the Boro/Mount Fairy bush fire brigade.
Last week there was a fire on Lower Boro Road near to where the proposed wind farm is to be built.
The fire was about 493Ha in size .It was an extremely scary fire.
In the EIS its mentioned "the most effective way to manage fire incidence is to use ground based resources ".
Try to tell the volunteer fire fighters who were doing their best over a few days and not getting the fire put out that. "The Southern Belle" (DC10 fire fighting plane ) flying over at about 70 metres above the ground dropped 44000 litres of fire retardant and got the fire under control in a few minutes, is less effective .The DC10 , water bombing helicopters and spotter helicopters (used by the RFS to work out the size of the fire and how to attack it ) would not be able to fly anywhere near the fire if wind turbines were in the area .Putting me and my friends in the bush fire brigade under more stress ,spending more time on the fireground, ( which is not one of my favourite places to be) and in more danger than is necessary.

This wind farm is been placed to close to family's houses and the village. This is not something we should have to look at on a daily basis . They r a monstrosity huge!!! And will have a big impact on our village and surround lives. Please read consider where u r placing these huge turbines australia is a massive country I'm sure there is somewhere where these turbines could go that wouldn't effect Anyone!!!
Have some consideration

I wish to make a submission in objection to the proposed wind turbine project on visual impact grounds, noise concerns and misleading information supplied in the documents provided for exhibition. There are several points that directly mislead the public. Some of these points are the information that relates to no school bus route and bus stops on braidwood and Goulburn roads. The renders that have been provided to particular properties affected are grossly misleading for information on the visual impact. I am a professsional photographer and run a photography company. I can state for the fact that these renders are by no means nearly accurate. I also wish to request a representative of the government to visit my property so they can see personally what impact this project will have on our views and quality of life. We will have approximately 14 turbines from 1km out to 3km and I wish for the government to personally view and assess an accurate representation of the visual impact we will face. I will be preparing this personally.

I would like to state that the impact vs benefits to the broader community far out way any negative elements discussed for this proposal and I fully support wind farms and in particular this wind farm as the renewable energy and benefit to our economy and environment are very significant.

My family moved to Mt Fairy 4 years ago to enjoy the tranquility and awesome views from our block on Roseview Rd Mt Fairy. We estimate that our frontal view will include 42 wind turbines higher than the Sydney harbour Bridge and Telstra Tower. Our visual amenity can not be improved despite the EIS saying that our 'high' impact can be mitigated to 'moderate/high' through tree mitigation. Unless we want to live shrouded by trees on our doorstep, close enough to cause building damage if they fall, they can not mitigate our visual amenity, we live in an elevated position and trees do not grow that high anywhere but outside our immediate doorstep. We were offered 'benefit sharing' of a dismal amount which when investigated meens our rights would be removed. It is disturbing that an unregulated industry has been supported by our elected governments with no protections for those negatively impacted. This whole process has caused my husband and I to experience extreme stress which has negatively impacted our physical and mental health.
