My name is Noel Bowden. I live at 6 Campbell Road Alexandria. In addition to attending several community feedback sessions I have read large parts of the EIS and have collated my concerns in the attached spread sheet.
I'm sure you would agree that the construction works and the final design of the road will have a huge impact on the lives of the people that live in the Terraces. All I ask is that we are considered in the final design. My biggest concern is being isolated as we will be the only residential housing in the area. Parking and gaining assess to our homes will be very difficult as the design stands.
The group of Terraces (2 to 32) are heritage listed and likely built in 1886. Please see link to the Office of Environment and Heritage listing http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/heritageapp/ViewHeritageItemDetails.aspx?ID=2420544. They have no foundations and are built from brick with lime motor and therefore very delicate. I have just completed major renovations. As so much of the works surround our buildings we respectfully request dilapidation surveys to be undertaken before works commence.
We are not anti development but anti poor design. A great deal of time has gone into this submission please treat it with respect and work with us for a design outcome that will not destroy our amenity.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Noel Bowden

Sydney is in dire need of a more comprehensive public transport infrastructure, like other major cities of the world.
The city simply can't cope with having more cars on the road. The streets in the eastern suburbs are already too congested and there is little street parking available. Adding more traffic to the roads is simply unacceptable.
The money spent on more roads would be much better spent on creating a more comprehensive public transport system, like other major cities of the world. This would in turn would make it more attractive for people to come to the city center creating more opportunity for retail and jobs.
