Once again NSW STATE GOVERNMENT is disregarding community values. There is no need for the decisions they are making we have state of the art civil engineers and civil planning experts and if this is the best they can come up with then we are not a state of the 21st century but one of communist rule. Do not increase traffic within Botanica it should be local traffic only. There are other options the development can take. We are not against progress however we must preserve the Heritage identity of Botanica. We have been residents here for 4 years and have seen the traffic increase dramatically.

The proposed entrance and exits onto Main Ave within the Botanica estate is unworkable. This will heavily increase the traffic with the narrow streets of the estate, which is currently barely able to cope with local residence traffic. Alternative entrances should be considered on Weerona road, which is much easier for traffic access.

The use of main avenue for the proposed NSW forensic pathology services will dramatically increase traffic to the local streets of Botanica estate. These streets were not originally developed for large vehicles let alone large amounts of traffic as they are narrow streets which can only fit 1 car safely down the existing roads and will lead to peak hour traffic offloading into the area e.g. Traffic will by pass main roads (i.e. Weerona road and Joseph street) and congest the residential streets of Botanica estate.
This will lead to an increase in car accidents to parked and driving cars or pedestrians accidents, increased crime rates as this estate is quiet and only incurs local resident traffic at this current point in time and noise pollution by the increase in traffic on main avenue.

Proposed entrance via Main Avenue will mean a profound increase in traffic on Botanica's already narrow streets. There are many families with kids in the area and the increased traffic in the estate poses a danger. For vehicles entering the Coroners court from the South and exiting to go North it is inevitable that these vehicles will make way through the estate. The simplest solution is to relocate the public entrance alongside the staff entrance on Weerona road as this road is specifically designed for such purpose. The streets of Botanica were not envisaged to handle such an increase in traffic 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Specifically the street I live on, Betty Cuthbert Drive, will see a marked increase in traffic. I urge you to see for yourself how narrow this street is and the impact increased traffic flow will have on it.

the proposed Forensic pathology and Coroner's court will increase local traffic, noise and pollution. the value of the area as a residential estate will be downgraded. The perceived value of the property will fall. Security and safety of the locality will be compromised.

I am most concerned that a newly developed residential complex - namely 'Botanica', which has heritage status, is to be used as a thoroughfare for the new Forensic & Coroners Court and Morgue. Being a residential area, residents justly utilise the parking areas around their homes. This then results in narrow road ways - entirely suitable for a residential area but certainly not for the traffic which will result in a greatly increased traffic flow with staff and the public using the Court.
Within Botanica there is a major residential facility -Ferguson Lodge - for people with significant physical disabilities who access transport in this area in their wheelchairs. Increased traffic will affect these residents along with families who have young children who access the parks and walkways. There is also an aged population at Botanica who are able currently to enjoy walking around the area with confidence. Many people bought into Botanica for the residential nature of the Estate.
I request that serious consideration be given to replan the access needs of this new building. There is the alternative access from Weeroona Road. If the proposed project cannot be confined to the Government site which is identified for the Court and Morgue, then it should be considered for another site where it does not negatively impact on the lives of 0ver 700 families. The Botanica Estate was previously a hospital which also could not have coped with more traffic through the streets so it should not be considered now.
There is also a preschool along Main Avenue which will certainly be impacted with additional traffic on a daily basis.
There is also the probability that public parking would extend onto Main Avenue, thus making this roadway even narrower. Buses that service this area via Main Avenue will have even more difficulty than they already have in making their necessary turns when in the Botanica Estate.
Some 700-800 families will be disadvantaged if this proposal goes ahead without changes to the access to the court.

I would like to object to the entry/exit neing on Main Avenue. Main Avenue is listed on http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/heritageapp/ViewHeritageItemDetails.aspx?ID=5049732 as one of tbe road and landscape elements to the heritage site of the previous Lidcombe Hospital. There is also the small Any constructions to add an entry/exit on Main Avenue will significantly destroying the heritage we tried to preserve.
The traffic report is purely statistical and does not consider the impact of the increase traffic to the community. FPCC is not location where members of the public frequently or regularly visits (such as shopping mall).
For members of public who needs to visit the FPCC, they possibly will come and go from 3 directions : Rookwood Rd, Amy Rd or Joseph St, it only makes sense if the entry/exit to FPCC is located on Weerona Rd. The traffic lights and the cross junction of Amy St/Rookwood Rd/Joseph St will provide public easy sccess to 3 directions.

Constructing driveways into and out of Main Avenue as the public entrance to a new coroners court and forensic pathology laboratory is totally at odds with the heritage significance of the road and the previous efforts to conserve it.
I care for the following reasons
IT WILL INCREASE TRAFFIC throughout the estate, particularly Botanica Drive, Betty Cuthbert Drive, Peppertree road, Grevillea Cres, Palm Circuit, Sussex St and Main avenue, as cars will be forced to drive through Botanica to get to / from the Court and morgue as the exit from Main avenue to Joseph St is Left hand turn (i.e. Southbound) only.
-IT WILL create parking problems, as people will park in Botanica's streets if the public entry to the court and morgue is from Main Avenue.
- IT WILL compromise the aesthetics of Main avenue, that is subject to a Heritage listing.
-IT WILL INCREASE safety risk to our children and elderly residents within the estate.
- IT WILL POTENTIALLY undervalue our homes in Botanica.
