Health and safety to residents should be paramount when dealing with such a deadly substance. I see next to no benefits with negative impacts on the environment as well as the health and wellbeing of people.

1. Works associated with proposed new cell are likely to be highly disruptive and a health risk to local residents and ecosystem.
2. The Kurnell community has not been adequately consulted.
3. Once approved, there is low confidence that all health and safety risk mitigation strategies will be followed.
4. Kurnell should not be considered an ACS dumping ground.
5. Correct dust and noise monitoring procedures not in place.
6. Council should consider the future of Kurnell (ie. once the ACS cell is built it will stay for good)
7. The scope of work sets the precedence for Kurnell to become an asbestos dumping ground for future proposals/projects.
8. The proposal has the potential to negatively influence property prices in Kurnell.
9. Cell is likely to be visible with unpleasant aesthetics

As a local resident I am opposed to the dumping and storage of asbestos in kurnell.
The site needs to be put back to its original decontaminated state.
The refinery brought the asbestos in so they should remove it and dump it at an asbestos tip.

As a resident of Kurnell I object to asbestos being stored on site.
I believe the residents would be put at considerable risk from asbestosis from airborne fibres with the movement & storage of asbestos on site, especially being coastal and getting the coastal breezes.

Application: Four Points by Sheraton
Application Number: SSD 4972 MOD 4
Dear Department,
I, Li Da Zhang, object to the proposed modification of increasing building height by two storeys, increasing commercial floor space by 1,620m2, amending roof plant and lift motor room, providing additional bicycle parking and end of trip facilities and any other design modifications.
I am motivated to make this submission in the firm belief that if we do not take a stand and say 'enough is enough', Four Points by Sheraton will continue to build more, leading to the blockage of more views that are valued by residents in the CBD and an increase in air and visual pollution. Since Four Points by Sheraton is already considered Australia's largest hotel with 672 rooms, not including the 25-storey tower currently under construction holding 231 rooms, office space and a podium hosting functions and conferences that is already starting to pollute the views of Darling Harbour, the proposed modifications are excessive and unnecessary.
The increased height of the Four Points by Sheraton will:
 block the Darling Harbour view
 block the water view
 block the sunset view
 block airflow
These are important factors when buying an apartment in a high-rise building and greatly affect the purchase and selling price and the decision to make such an investment. Since the purchase price of the apartment incorporated the above views, I would suffer a great loss on my investment. Airflow around the area may also be blocked by the increase in height which may cause an increase in air pollution, leading to adverse health reactions by many residents who live in the CBD area.
Please reconsider the decision to allow Four Points by Sheraton to increase building height by two storeys, increase commercial floor space by 1,620m2, amend roof plant and lift motor room, provide additional bicycle parking and end of trip facilities and any other design modifications.
Thank you for providing this opportunity to provide my view on this decision.
Kind Regards,
Li Da Zhang

Dear Department,
I, Chun Tsui, object to the proposed modification of increasing building height by two storeys, increasing commercial floor space by 1,620m2, amending roof plant and lift motor room, providing additional bicycle parking and end of trip facilities and any other design modifications.
The increased height of the Four Points by Sheraton building would substantially decrease the value of my apartment, as well as those of all other West-facing apartments of Windsor on Kent. It would do this by:
 blocking the Darling Harbour view
 blocking the water view
 blocking the sunset view
 blocking airflow
These are important factors when buying an apartment in a high-rise building and greatly affect the purchase and selling price and the decision to make such an investment.
