As a resident of Ettalong and retired business person (now Treasurer of ECC) the development now
in the hands of the Director of Planning will greatly assist Ettalong and major centres, residential and tourist industry on the Central Coast. Our area has fallen 10 years behind our
counterparts in this type of development because of the Gosford City Council's failure to include Ettalong in its major development projects. The setting alongside the waterfront will not only bring more tourists and enhance the business sector but will also alleviate the unemployment position on the Central Coast. With the increasing population of the Central Coast this proposal is paramount and it would be foolhardy to dissallow this type of development. I therefore show my (and on behalf of the Everglades Country Club team) full support for this development.

I remain,

JOHN MOORE, Treasurer ECC Woy Woy

I object to this proposal.
1. The building is too tall, and not in character with the local buildings
2. The building is too close to the shoreline. The frontal dunes have been almost totally destroyed by existing development, leaving the foreshore exposed. New buildings will compound the existing problems of developments on the dune system.
3. It is inappropriate for new developments to occur so close to sea level. Investment in public infrastructure (roads, sewer connections etc) to support this development are not appropriate for land so close to sea level.

The residents of Ettalong strongly objected to the 9 storey Club and also the seven storey building that was to be built on the old club site. Now they are trying to build another eyesore. This will end up being a lemon as is the high rise that was built near the markets where the old fruit shop was. These shops are still empty as I sure so are most of the residential units.
The Ettalong Hotel has not yet been fully occupied.
This new proposal will also take away the only parking facility for the shopping centre and it is already difficult to find parking in the maid street, and also business from the little arcade that has been there for many years. It is also not in keeping with the feeling of a little beach side community. What we need is something to attract tourists to Ettalong. Such as a waterslide that we had, paddle boast which we also had, or any other things that will bring tourists. The only reason that the club was permitted to go ahead was due to the introduction of the Fast Ships to Sydney which has still not happened. I was a resident of Ettalong and still visit and the foreshore is still a disgrace so lets fix that up first. What we need is reasons for people to visit. We already have enough people living here. The traffic in Ettalong at most times is already congested - how will it be with extra residents.

This is a great development! will do wonders for Ettalong and local economy.latest design supports state gov masterplan and Tesrol have been trying to receive approval since 2006.
Hopefully this development will pave way for more like it. the Peninsula needs these projects to activate employment for locals.
i support this 100%

awaba colliery should be allowed to mine in east B area to maximise the life of the mine & not sterilise this area as has happened in other mines in this area.it will also mean 4 million tonnes less coal taken from hunter valley open cuts.
