1 in 100,000 people will develop cancer from this machine is not good enough. If this is an estimage than it could be incorrect and the numbers higher.
The health of people is not worth the risk.
Why can this machine not be built out in the middle of nowhere, where there are no towns or people?
I work in Eastern Creek & will be affected but was not notified either, this is not good enough. Everyone and every business should be notified so that they can have their say.

I wish to object to this proposal for the following reasons.
- a one in 100000 people estimated to get cancer due to this is not acceptable and should be disallowed until it reaches 0 in 100000.
-the EPA can hardly manage to fix the odour problems that already affect Erskine park.
- there is absolutely no acceptable reason for this facility to be built so close to such a large residential area when there are other areas in nsw that this could be built in which less people live.
-if 1 in 100000 residents can get cancer due to this how many employees at this site will get cancer from it?
-we do not want this in or around our local suburbs.
-my wife works in the eastern creek business hub and will be exposed to this. This is another example of false modelling as the modelling will have only been done with current residents not the current influx of people who attend the area.
- the area has and is already being taken over by such large businesses that we do not need a facility like this to further destroy the environment.
-only 800 residential addresses have been notified officially of this development when every premises in the local area should be notified.

I object to the proposed Energy Waste Facility being built at Eastern Creek due to the following reasons:
I believe the consultants hired by TNG are biased in their findings/data modelling in the EIS as they are hired/paid by TNG. Therefore it is in their best interest to write their reports favouring the company's position.
TNG refused to answer a simple question at a local neighbourhood centre meeting at Erskine Park on Thursday night 16th February 2017. They were asked " How far will the emissions travel from the facility?" Eventually after pushing the issue they did confirm that it would at least reach the Erskine Park Primary school as it is a "receptor". They would not tell us how far it would actually travel in the right conditions.
The fact that plastics will be burned in the facility is another concern. It is well known that the burning of plastic emits dioxins and other gases into the environment. These are cancer causing and not a risk we are willing to take when it comes to our health or that of our family.
TNG consultants advised that the increased risk of someone getting cancer from their facility was only 1 in 100,000 and when put in context it's really not a big deal considering 1 in 2 people get cancer anyway. This is a total disregard for Western Sydney's health. I sure as hell hope my family nor friends are not that 1 person affected.
The smoke stacks will be an eyesore. We are told that only the tops of the stacks will be visible from the M4, however this will still affect the look of the area and potentially housing prices as no one will want to live near there and look at it.
Housing prices in the surrounding areas are likely to be effected once this facility is approved. People will be trying to leave the area and buyers will not to move here. Supply will be higher than demand and therefore house prices are likely to stagnate if not drop below current levels.
The health reports are modelled over a 30 year period only as they advised that is how long the average person lives in one neighbourhood. I find these figures misleading as many people live in the same neighbourhood or area that they grew up in their entire life.
Dial a Dump has a bad reputation for breaching EPA guidelines. They receive a fine and continue to operate. If there are breaches with this facility and fines are received and paid , will there be an investigation into what the health implications of the breach is for residents?
This type of facility should be in an area that is not surrounded by residential blocks.
I am aware that this is a business and making money is TNG's right but not at the expense of the community.

No to risking our health, our children's health and the Communities health! We already have enough pollution in our area due to the factories and trucks! The air port is going to be bringing even more pollution due to planes, vehicles and trucks!
Think about our community before going ahead with your plans

I have read the submissions and also posted my objections previously. I am absolutely against this proposal as I am fearful about the health of the local residents. We are already subjected to the putrid odours from the tip at Eastern Creek which penetrates into my house on some days. I can only imagine what we are being forced to inhale from that. Any complaints fall on deaf ears and are not really followed up. A couple of years ago, the industrial area at Erskine Park was established, and after some businesses moved in, the whole district had a rancid smell in the air, continuously. We were advised that the EPA investigated and found no cause, so, end of story people, shut up and put up with it, was the outcome. In this era, it appears that greed and profits are placed above the health and safety of the community and money speaks volumes! This is a young community, full of families with young children, I am concerned that in 10 -15 years, there will be unexplained health issues, and a cluster of young people with similar health issues, caused by the emissions from the proposed facility. Those who attended the meeting last night were sadly disappointed by the presenters, they felt that the people delivering the information had no credibility and were just plucking answers from anywhere, they said they felt more concerned after the meeting than before the meeting, isn't it supposed to be the opposite? It seems the Erskine Park community is the dumping ground for undesirable practice! I have lived in this community for 27 years. When we bought our home in 1990, it was a wonderful place to live, surrounded by rural land and farms. Now, we have an ever growing industrial area that is noisy, a road that winds through the industrial area that has no barriers to protect homes from the road noise, we have a smelly tip, a proposal for a toxic dump, and an airport on its way that will once again increase noise and pollution. I believe this is asking too much of the residents to just keep on accepting what is detrimental to health and safety. If we cannot be guaranteed that this facility is 100% safe to the environment, then please find another solution, the presenter saying one person in one hundred may fall visiting to cancer, but one in two gets cancer anyway, is NOT acceptable and if there is a cancer risk, to even one person because of this development, then this project should NOT be allowed to proceed on the grounds of personal risk to residents.

Who are the beneficiaries of such a project ?
Why now ?
Why not considering relocating the waste facility itself away from populated areas / or adjacent to populated areas?
Have an independent body verified the implications on public health in surrounding areas ? Have any findings in relation to public health been considered minimum and neglected in favour of financial benefits ?
I have been residing in Erskine park for the last 15 years , and I am greatly concern that such a project although might bring economic growth but that is not adequate to ignore its' environmental impact on us and our children at home , schools or playgrounds .
I strongly disagree with this project .

I did not buy a property in an area that will smell like a tip with a waste incinerator less than 2km away from JEPS and Carcinogens in the air.

I protest against this due to my familys health is not an option even the smalles amount of toxons in the air is not acceptable. I have already lost many people close to me due to cancer why would you even consider this incinerator if it has any chance at all of causing health issues. Therr must be other locations away from any residential area or is it eeded at all.....

Too close to housing and schools.
We shouldn't have to worry about what will come out of the stacks.

I write today to express my objection to this planning proposal.
As a local resident and front line medical worker I object to the building of this facility on both a public health and environmental level.
The long term health impact of the unavoidable emissions of this facility will not be known for a number of years, but it is worth mentioning that the public health service in the western Sydney area is already stretched to it's limits. Nepean hospital in particular describes itself as being in a state of crisis with demand far outstripping the hospitals capacity to admit patients.
Toxins and harmful emissions released into the local environment will see an increase in people seeking out emergency medical intervention, and the more people trying to access the service, and more depleted the services ability to provide care becomes.
From an environmental point of view, the areas most directly affected are some of the most overlooked in Sydney. These same emission which will effect the health of our residents stand to effect the health of the very land we stand on. land already at risk secondary to the go ahead of the Badgerys creek airport. Have the joint implications of these two projects been properly considered?
