It is important to keep the cultural diversity of the community which is the best thing in Australia. Additionally, it is respect to a minority group in the community.

I totally support the expansion of Malek Fahd school

This is my kids school and the expansion of the school will benefit my children education quality and well-being

I would like to express my support for the proposed expansion of Malek Fahd Islamic School. As a parent, I believe this expansion will provide opportunities for more children (including mine) to further their education in a supportive and engaging environment.

In addition to the academic benefits, I believe this expansion will offer more extracurricular activities for children in our community,

I sincerely hope that you will consider this expansion

I object to this project for the following reasons:
Malek Fahd is located within a local suburban area, with a known fire zone area immediately across the road. The traffic is currently congested & difficult to navigate. With increased foot and car traffic at drop off, pick up & other times of the day, it is possible that lives could be endangered in an emergency.
The school is some distance from public transport. The closest metro stations are Rouse Hill (2.5 km away) & Kellyville (3.8 km away) & is currently linked to the already congested Withers Road.

It is my understanding that several schools are located within 1 km of Malek Fahd. These include Beaumont Hills Public (on Parkway Drive, which exceeded its 2024 cap by 20 students), Lady of the Angels Primary School, Rouse Hill High (which exceeded its 2024 cap by 367 students), & Ironbark Ridge (which exceeded its 2024 cap by 497 students), all of which are situated on Withers Rd. Traffic has been noticeably more congested & difficult to navigate. The addition of more traffic (which is more than double if this submission is allowed) will create unnecessary grid lock and potentially test the patience of all.

The lack of planning & infrastructure in the surrounding area, the influx of students, & its subsequent impact on the local community are of significant concern. Because of the congestion, private driveways are currently being used as 3-point turning points, creating an unsafe environment for other traffic & pedestrians.

If the middle island on Mungerie Rd remains, this would mean traffic would be entering travelling from Withers Road. This setup could cause significant traffic congestion backed up down Mungerie Road (which already happens). Cars travelling down Mungerie Rd towards the Withers Road roundabout will need to turn around, entering an already congested one-lane roundabout, further exacerbating the issue (which also already happens).

Additionally, will the proposed prayer hall be used outside of the school community, or on the weekends? This would severely impact the local community via traffic congestion and parking issues.

I believe that doubling the current student intake will have a significantly negative impact on the local community, for the above reasons. The current area is already far too traffic busy.

I really support the project and it will help my community

The proposal will adversely impact the community due to the increase congestion on the roads leading to the school. Infrastructure cannot handle the current volume of traffic and the Withers road round about is constantly in grid lock at pick up and drop off times. Even with the proposed expansion of Withers road to two lanes, Mungerie road will not move the required traffic at this critical time with the 5 surrounding schools in the area. The current school has attempted multiple solutions to this existing problem, none on which have been successful. Many of which have encouraged dangerous illegal and driving behaviour of persons entering and exiting the school with no regard for vulnerable road users commuting during these peak times.

I support the Malek Fahd Islamic School Expansion project because it provides quality education in a diverse and inclusive environment. The expansion will accommodate more students, ensuring access to excellent learning facilities. It fosters academic excellence, cultural values, and community growth. Investing in education strengthens our future and benefits society as a whole.

I object to the project as the local roads can not keep up with all the extra traffic & congestion this is going to bring.
As well as the shade & shadows this is going to bring to our residence.
Also this is an expansion on a school but there is proposal for a prayer centre which I am sure is going to be used outside of school hours bringing more noise etc outside of school hours.
