Already the new housing constructions surrounding this school is causing huge access issues to my property and i have lost almost ten thousand dollars from where my property access was blocked and i have arranged for earth moving and other construction to finish my house. road blockages, traffic control and trucks parked out front of my house has caused me much distress and loss of money. as traffic controllers have turned away construction vehicles to my house preventing concrete to be poured and having to divert trucks back to base.
I am opposing this submission, and ask that it be pushed back a year or 2 to ensure that the current subdivision that is occurring on gurner avenue is completed first and work on the acreage side of gurner (lot 100 onwards) be completed to improve the streets capability to cope with the increase of traffic that will occur if development of al faisal is to go ahead we need more access points.
THs current state of the work on gurner is also disturbing the any peace. The noise levels on the street and hours of construction are also chaotic and my house is unlivable due to the noise level AND vehicles have been smashed by oncoming trucks and traffic. My neighbor had his car mirror decapitated in the early morning by a b double that drove off.
Gurner avenue is not wide enough to cope for two way traffic and increasing the size of the school to accommodate more students is not the answer. specially when the access points and infrastructure surroundings school is inadequate due to the current level of demolition and construction that is occurring.
At present during the school hours the parents parking on the side of the very narrow road blocks traffic to exit to fifteenth avenue from Fourth avenue as it is, and the only choice is to squeeze through craic avenue which is also a minefield of pot holes, massive b double trucks and ongoing construction vehicles stopping and halting traffic to have a chat to their mates delivering to neighboring properties.
the road has too much construction and access issues as is and Liverpool council needs to do something about the access issues from fourth avenue and craic before they even consider allowing for a huge demolition and construction to occur at this school.
I am devastated that i purchased the block of land and built a home i cannot live in, im paying two mortgages due to the current state of the construction and i object to this submission until council does more to increase access for gurner avenue residents. reduce the hours of allowable construction to start at 9am rather then 7am.
the school dosent need to increase in size as yet, they can wait till some major work on the roads and access and neighboring property are near completion. the last thing i need is more cars and trucks parked out front of my house for this school and further damaging my property.
Council needs to investigate this for themselves and i'll actually offer someone in council to personally sleep in my property for the week and see just how lovely it is!!!!!

I believe this project is very important to the community overall and would like to congratulate the vision behind it.
My concerns are:
- control and management of vehicle Traffic,
- pedestrian crossing for the safety of the students and parents,
- garbage collection area be clearly identified
- noise control
- coverage of trees for privacy of residence

Thank you for requesting WaterNSW's comments on the EIS for the proposed Al-Faisal College Liverpool (SSD 10445). Please note that as the subject site is not located in close proximity to any WaterNSW land or assets, and as an SSD any flood works or licensing approvals will be assessed by others, the risk to water quality is considered to be low and WaterNSW has no comments or particular requirements.
