Online BIC Application Service API
The Department has developed inbound and outbound APIs to facilitate the flow of BIC data between the Online Service and the Council’s IT systems.
The outbound API enables the council to receive the BIC data entered by an applicant into the Online Service directly into their IT system in real-time. This eliminates the need for double entry of application details into the Council's IT system.
Council can then progress the application in their own IT system (conduct Assessment, Initiate Inspection, Perform and Complete Inspection, request and receive additional information, determine the application, defer and close determination ) as the inbound API transfers this data from council to the Online BIC service.
