Bare Island Bridge Repairs
Randwick
Bare Island Fort, located in Kamay Botany Bay National Park, is accessed via a timber trestle bridge constructed in 1886–87 and recognised as State‑significant heritage. The bridge has experienced progressive deterioration, including rot, splitting and termite damage, worsened by water runoff at the northern abutment. Works involve replacing affected timber components to stabilise the structure and maintain safe public access.
