Stage 1 Concept Plan for Redevelopment of Macquarie Centre

Stage 1 DA for Mixed Use development. The proposal includes the design parameters for the future development of Macquarie Centre. This includes building envelopes for a new commercial/retail/community podium towards Herring Road and four towers also fronting Herring Road. The four towers will range in height from 90m to 120m above existing ground level. The towers will contain commercial and/o residential apartments and/or services apartments and/or student housing. The development will also include the creation of 'station plaza' between the train station and shopping centre, basement and roof top car parking envelopes to accommodate a maximum of 2175 additional car spaces and new vehicle and pedestrian access points. The Stage 1 development application does not seek approval for any works or the final land uses or the final design of the building exteriors. Such approvals will be sought via subsequent development applications.
