Railway Terrace Schofields

Site Size: approximately 6.3ha
Homes: up to 1,700 homes of which 30% are proposed to be affordable and build-to-rent tenure types.
Proposal: The site is situated in Sydney’s North West, approximately 500 meters from Schofields railway station and town centre. The proposal seeks to develop the site for apartment homes.
A planning proposal was lodged with the Department on 14 September 2023. The Department assessed the planning proposal and prepared a Discussion Paper which outlines the proposed amendments to planning controls. The Discussion Paper and updated planning proposals were exhibited from 15 February until 14 March 2024.

Finalisation of the proposal allows the amendment of planning controls within the Central River City State Environmental Planning Policy to increase the maximum height of buildings from approximately 4 storeys to 8 storeys, to create up to 1,700 new homes.
