draft Amendment 13 to Liverpool LEP 2008 - Design Excellence

To:1. revise the design competition requirements contained in Clause 7.5(4) of Liverpool LEP 2008, so that the threshold for an 'architectural design competition' is altered from $1 million to $10 million, and2. revise the Director General's Design Excellence Guidelines so that: (a) three design proposals are submitted by only one architectural design firm in lieu of three architectural design firms (as currently required under the guidelines) and (b) change the guideline requirement for the composition of a design competition jury. Note: Clause 7.5(8) of Liverpool LEP 2008 specifies that an 'architectural design competition' is a competitive process conducted in accordance with procedures approved by the Director-General from time to time. These 'procedures' are taken to mean those within the 'Director General's Design Excellence Guidelines' (copy attached).
