Inner West Precinct

Proposal: The state-led rezoning proposal seeks to rezone sections of Parramatta Road within the Inner West Local Government Area to deliver up to 8,000 new homes near the Sydney CBD.

The proposal will consider affordable housing options, active transport connections, new open space, retail and commercial opportunities, as well as improvements to the public domain.

The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure expects to exhibit the proposal in late 2026, at which time the community and other stakeholders will be able to provide feedback. Feedback will be considered in finalising the proposal.
