Park Sun Access Protections

The proposal is seeking to extend existing sun access protections, apply Sun Access Protection Areas (SPAs) and associated protection periods to additional parks and public places, and to consolidate the provisions into a single LGA-wide clause to ensure important parks and public places retain adequate sun access to support their long-term recreational, environmental and community functions in face of substantial housing and population growth arising from recent State and local planning initiatives.
