Development contributions help cover the cost of delivering infrastructure needed to support new businesses, communities and homes. State Voluntary Planning Agreements (SVPAs) are a method of securing these contributions.
SVPAs are legal agreements with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure between a developer and a planning authority, such as the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces.
SVPAs on notification are available for public inspection and comment for at least 28 days before being finalised.
Under Consideration SVPAs have been publicly notified but are yet to be entered into by the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces (as the relevant planning authority), and the developer.
Executed SVPAs have been entered into and signed by the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, and the developer.
When all obligations of the Planning Agreements (PAs) have been met by the Developer, the PAs are considered concluded.
