State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) Amendment (Light Rail) 2013

The State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) Amendment (Light Rail) 2013 (the draft SEPP) has amended the State Environmental Planning Policy (Infrastructure) 2007 (Infrastructure SEPP) to clarify planning pathways related to light rail by including light rail purposes within the definition of rail infrastructure facilities. This will allow for the undertaking of preliminary investigative works (such as survey, geotechnical and contamination investigations) for future light rail projects in NSW and the CBD and South East Light Rail Project.
