Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan 2050

The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has worked with the Sydney Olympic Park Authority to finalise its Master Plan 2050 and supporting amendments to the State Environmental Planning Policy (Precincts – Central River City) 2021 (Central River City Precincts SEPP).

The Master Plan 2050 enables a total of up to 15,000 homes and 26,000 jobs, including a minimum of five per cent affordable housing. The plan provides for new community sport and leisure centres, a new library and community hub, and a new cultural centre. It also identifies two new school sites, seven new public spaces, four new sports fields and more than ten playgrounds.

The Sydney Olympic Park Master Plan 2050, proposed amendments to planning controls, and all supporting technical studies were on exhibition for public feedback from 28 October to 29 November 2024.

Thank you to the community and stakeholders who provided feedback on this proposal.

Find out more about how we responded to your feedback in the Sydney Olympic Park Authority’s Response to Submissions Report and the Department’s Finalisation Report.
