The NSW Government is now reviewing submissions from our community consultation on a draft Master Plan for 176 new homes at Iron Gates Drive, Evans Head in the Northern Rivers region. Prepared by Planit Consulting for Gold Coral, the draft Master Plan seeks to subdivide three lots into 176 residential lots, four public reserves with fire trails and three residue lots. The draft Master Plan sets out to deliver a new housing opportunity within the established and growing local coastal community of Evans Head in a way that is mindful of the important environmental and cultural value of the area. The Department recognises the environmental and cultural value of the Evans Head site: its location on the Evans River, its native vegetation, wetlands and rainforest, as well as the places of Aboriginal cultural significance present on the land. All submissions received during the community consultation period will be carefully considered in assessing the draft Master Plan.
