Exhibitions

Have your opinion heard by making a submission on departmental plans and policies, or planning proposals and development applications at council, state, and state significant levels.

Departmental plans and policies help achieve positive outcomes for NSW, and can include building regulations, methods of delivery for high-quality and diverse housing, and other planning system reforms.

Councils can elect to exhibit development applications on the NSW Planning Portal. The DAs in this section have been registered for public comment.

Council exhibitions can include updates or amendments to Development Control Plans (DCPs) and Community Participation Plans (CPPs), as well as Land and Environment Court judgements.

State development applications are determined by the Minister or the Independent Planning Commission (IPC). State DAs are exhibited for public comment, which will be considered by the department during assessment.

The department has an important role in assessing and determining proposals for State significant projects in NSW and welcomes feedback on these projects from the community, government agencies and other stakeholders.

Planning proposals seek to amend zoning or development standards in Local Environment Plans (LEPs) specific to the respective NSW councils, where the community can have a say on whether the proposed changes should proceed.
