Problem statement

How might user experience and operational processes around the spatial viewer be improved to reduce confusion and increase optimisation?

 

Scope

This will involve exploring factors such as: 

  • Helping applicants interpret complicated planning documents and rules more easily.
  • Improving the quality of applications by reducing the need for manual data entry and automatically using available spatial data to fill in key details. 
  • Simplifying the look and feel of the special viewer.
  • Making it easier and more efficient for councils to share maps and location data with the Department.
