I object to this project because of the size of the footprint which does not include haulage roads, repair and maintenance of turbines and the negative impact on both flora and fauna. It is highly likely that threatened species such as the Little Eagle, Black Falcon and the spotted harrier will be adversely impacted as well as the white-fronted chat and black-breasted buzzard which were identified during the first year of surveys. The bat surveys also identified two threatened species, the forest bat and and the little pied bat. Past experience shows that turbine generators and blades need replacement at least every 5 years which requires taking the turbine down and transporting it to a repair location. Meaningful protection of Australia's unique biodiversity is critical not only because of the unique contribution to the environment but also because of the importance of diversity and knowledge that can be obtained

Food producing agricultural farm land absolutely should be just that , food producing land. Agriculture land must not be industrialised with renewable energy generation.

I have a growing concern with the cumulative impact on a number of key ecological aspects the Wind projects will have on the Riverina Plains.
I find it difficult to understand why more detail is not in the EIS on how the energy developed with this project is to access the grid.
More detail needs to be provided with connecting transmission lines
The local road network is not adequate to support a project of this size.
The visual impacts are not to be underestimated due to the flat topography of this unique landscape.
Are the turbines to be taken down if they are to be decommissioned and who pays for this to occur
Why should the Australian tax payer and energy user pay the landowner an annual payment when it would have been cheaper to purchase the freehold title of the property where the proponent could have used the remaining property for biodiversity offsets and leased the balance back to agriculture.
At the end of the day the cost of supporting an annual payment to the landholder will be subjected to far greater scrutiny than has been applied to these projects at this point.

Imported materials, unsustainable jobs, land destroyed, animals killed for 20% of energy. There are better ways. And uphold Australian Standards. Stop importing rubbish that cannot be recycled.

Our region is a biodiversity hotspot, home to many already threatened species, and the proposed wind turbines pose a significant risk to their survival. Contrary to claims of being environmentally friendly, there is growing evidence that the full life cycle of wind turbines—manufacturing, construction, and disposal—has considerable environmental costs. These factors must be taken into account when assessing the true impact of renewable energy projects. I urge a reconsideration of these plans in favor of solutions that genuinely protect both our environment and biodiversity.

I Object to Baldon Wind Electricity Generating Works & BESS on a 46,266ha site, as I am extremely concerned for the great loss of farming land and land for animal life!
When we lose endangered animals they are gone!

I also feel farmers are not protected from malpractice when they lease their land to big companies. My information tells me that their contracts do not protect farmers from having to dispose later of any waste.
The Government must responsibly ensure that overseas investors do not contribute to the waste challenges we already have, but as it stands this has not been adequately put in place at all.

I am very unhappy that there is no opportunity for open debate on this inferior, destructive, renewable energy disaster that will change the life of all Australians for the worse.
The fact is that wind ‘farms’ will not bring enough energy to supply ordinary Australians. They have not been proven to deliver continuous supply - 30% efficient is not good enough!
Battery Energy Storage Systems are horrible, incapable, short term & extremely hazardous.

The fact is energy costs will rise for ordinary, already struggling householders.

The spin is: ‘ It looks good’.... NO!!!! NOT TRUE!!!
‘The sound does not affect people’….. UNTRUE!!!
‘Farmers are in for a good deal’ ….. NOT AT ALL!!!

This is a peaceful town. The turbines will forever ruin our tranquility . They could make it impossible to sleep at night for those who live nearest the turbines. It may not be all the time but it will be some of the time. Sound will travel particularly at night. I worry about bisphenol A contaminating the air we breathe. It's a neurotoxin! This very dangerous chemical will enter the food chain. What measure will the company be putting in place to insure the resident are not exposed to this endocrine disruptor?

This project will destroy the natural beauty of the area. Once it's gone, we can never get it back. Wildlife species already on the brink of extinction will be further endangered by this development. The turbines will be a permanent eyesore just out of town that has always prided itself on its natural charm. This project will flood our small town with workers and outsiders, changing the fabric of our community. The turbines will bring environmental destruction, and the gains from the project won’t benefit our community. We live here to escape city life, not to live in an industrial zone filled with wind turbines. I’m worried about the long-term environmental damage. Who will clean up the mess when the turbines are no longer in use? Our town is built on agriculture not turbines!

Bisphenol A is a known endocrine disruptor. It’s not safe for anyone, especially growing children. I do not give permission for myself, my family or any future children to be exposed to this neurotoxin. This is definite going to create physical and mental problems. This endocrine disrupting chemical is a hazard to every living creature human and animal. it will eventually wash into water ways. it will become part of our food chain.

This is not energy generation this is a train wreck waiting to happen. The mental hardship upon community member is obvious.
The monies thrown at land owner is disgusting, Unrefuse-able amounts. All reliable sources of energy generation should be considered. this thing that only RE will by the best is ridiculous .

I’m worried about the increased traffic accidents with so many construction vehicles on our roads. The turbines will ruin the view, and the noise will drive away visitors who come to enjoy our beautiful town. We’re a small town with a big heart, and this project will destroy the wide open 380 degree views. the night sky will never be the same. We’re not prepared for the changes it will bring. Bisphenol A is a known endocrine disruptor. It’s not safe for anyone, especially growing children.

I'm a young energetic rural person. I think the industrialisation of agriculture will reduce work availability in the area. The construction will be fly in fly out workers. These project offer nothing substantial for our some rural town.

Bisphenol A could seep into our rivers and destroy aquatic life, including vulnerable fish and bird species. This project doesn’t benefit the locals, but we’ll bear all the risks, the costs , the eye-saw an and the worry.

My first hope is the government soon wake up to the dissection of food producing farmland. The second is they are voted out for a government with some sense . Im not yet of voting age but when I am I be vey carful who I support. The industrialisation of food producing Agriculture land is just crap. Machines do not produce food. Generational farmer do its in their bones. They are in farming for quality not quantity.

Having grown up inhale small town of Moulamein Im concerned. Our roads will be destroyed by the construction traffic, and we’ll be left to fix them. Our small town will be disrupted for years first with installation, hosing and feeding workers then for maintenance when breakdown accrue. on the plain your see for kms. The pure beauty will forever be scared it is a travesty.

This proposal is crazy, Insane even. Food producing Agricultural land should be left just as that. There will soon enough be a food shortage.I have read as soon as 2050. The way the government is smashing up the RE it could very likely be sooner that alter. Australia farmer are good at producing large quantics of food at a high standard. Leave Ag Land to farmer so we can do what we do best. Put RE where it is needs to be, in the cities on carpark and roof tops. I would rather have food in the dark then an empty plate with the lights on.

As a young farm in the district, I consider myself a budding environmentalist. I am concerned with the destruction of land that these RE instllations will bring to the farming land in my area. I am concerned about the Bisphonal A from blade erosion. If the land is cover then this neurotoxin it will surely make its way into our food chain. Australia has the world best practices of standard in farming standards. bring this in to the country and to spend it all over food producing Ag land is a crime.
