My name is Yasmin Crockett and I am a resident of Mudgee NSW 2850.
Thank You for the opportunity to be able to express my concern in regard to the Bowdens Silver Project.
I OPPOSE THE BOWDENS SILVER PROJECT
Unfortunately just last Friday I went to Lue with my cousins from Sydney, Lachlan and April Cook of Lane Cove, they are wishing to make a tree change and we came across the most gorgeous
Mud Brick house with a simply devine manicured property.
The agent from the Property shop Mudgee took us through the property and it is simply stunning!!!
Sarah the Agent didn’t mention the Proposed Silver Mine , but with all the signage and some local knowledge I was aware it was in the vicinity some where.
upon going home and researching we discovered that it would be 1.5km as the crow flies from the Devine property we looked at.
I can tell you that the sale was DONE and an offer would have been on the table until we discovered the hidden not so talked about proposal of this mine.
The property in question above is 15 Garner st Lue
What a shame and so heartbreaking , clearly they are trying to sell due to the closeness of this proposed mine too.
Please take a look at google maps and see for yourself.
How can it be justified to destroy another small local community such as Lue so close to Mudgee.
Are we targets for small community destruction in this area.
I have witnessed family heart ache and years and years of pain with the expansion of the American Giant Peabody Energy being approved into the small village of Wollar 50km from Mudgee.
The village is NO more. Cemeteries and Graves falling down from explosions, churches now locked and condemned. Years of our families ancestors destroyed.
Everything Purchased within an 8kn radius of the mine as to make sure no one that now rents can complain of the dust and noise.
I could pin point all the other points of disaster and uncertainty this proposed mine could have but I am only going to ask you to look at the personal side, the family histories, the village and its
gorgeous lifestyle properties that are now to be frankly worthless.
Please do not even consider this proposal. It needs to be stopped.
I OPPOSE THE BOWDENS SILVER PROJECT.
Thank You for your Time
