Please see below comments from DPIE Crown Lands regarding this proposal:-

· Substitution of consolidated AC coupled BESS (Battery Energy Storage Station) with modular DC coupled BESS arrangements. This is to provide better storage of energy produced for a more controlled release into the grid when a higher demand for power is required - No impact to crown lands

· Addition of five part lots and one full lot that was not originally referenced in the original proposal - There is no increase in footprint.

· Access - The modification document suggests that the original access arrangement from the east of the development site via the Back Morundah Road will most likely not be utilised. Proposed access is per the ”Proposed Access Changes” map utilising the Western access routes of the Kidman Way/Eulo Road and the Sturt Highway/Main Canal Road/Old Morundah Road - Approximately 2.7 kilometres of the Old Morundah road required for access from the west is Crown road. This section of road starts just after the canal and continues south east where it is adjacent to the proposed project entrance at Lot 4 DP 1185251. DPIE Crown Lands recommends a transfer of the section of Crown road to Murrumbidgee Council, who are better placed than DPIE Crown Lands to manage the required upgrades of the road.
