Mod 1 - Time Extension

Due to further interruptions today I will not complete my submission before the C.O.B deadline. I therefore seek your permission to forward the body of my submission tomorrow.

In brief:
I do not support the permit modification.

I doubt that the economic outlook for this mine is sound

I hope that before the sought 5 year extension period is through there will be international agreement to limit greenhouse gas emissions, further eroding the economic rationale for opening up the western extension of the mine

I feel there is a risk that the company will collapse without having the resources to complete site rehabilitation works


I foreshadow forwarding a supplementary submission ASAP.
