I live in a building (18 Park Lane) directly across the project and am directly affected by the very loud and unpleasant noise from the construction of the project. It's acceptable if the construction hours are from 7.30am-5.30 per the current permit --- however, I strongly object extending these hours. 7am is too early for the construction to start as some people are still in bed and past 5.30pm is way too late. The people living nearby has the right to have a peaceful living environment, especially when it's outside the normal working hours. I'm pretty sure that other occupant of my building (18 Park Lane) also object to this extension of the construction hours.

I should also note that since the construction of the project began last year, it's not uncommon for the construction to start before 7.30am, hence violating the current construction-hours permit.

I would like to strongly object to the modifications that allow work on Block 11 of Central Park Broadway to have extend edt hours to 7pm and allow internal construction works to be carried out 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
As it is, construction often goes to after 6pm on a week night so the construction company is already working illegally.
Over the five or so years construction has been going on, the builders have often worked illegally. At one stage we had trucks coming on to the site at 3am in the morning. It was only after repeated complaints to Frasers that this practice was stopped. Frasers have also been completely uncooperative in stopping barking dogs in their Central Park apartment blocks. This company treats its neighbours with contempt and should not be allowed to cause more distress to people who want a bit of peace and quiet in their own homes.

Hello,

I am a local resident and DO NOT approve of this application to change construction work hours.

This will negatively impact all of our sleep and there is already so much noise as it is. Also, the construction crews are already starting work at 7am and there is a really loud speaker phone that they use from 7am which wakes all of us up. I thought that they should only be able to start work at 7.30am?

Extending the hours will impact all of us negatively especially the 7am start and when we get home from work we don't again want to hear the construction crews operating until 7pm. This also impacts our ability to park our cars after work as the construction crews will occupy the area.

Limitations on construction work timings are regulated to protect the enjoyment of neighbouring residents in their own properties. The proposed changes would effectively remove these protections completely.

Currently, my lot is 3 meters from the construction site of Block 11 Central Park. I already have to endure construction noise all day Monday to Saturday and only have relief in the evenings. The noise has already affected our enjoyment of my lot and extending it further including permitting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the amount of noise that would be generated would be unbearable for the area's residents. Also, The building does not have any windows or sound barriers installed therefore any noise from work done inside the building would travel to neighbouring properties.

I would also like to draw your attention to a Significant Incident that occurred in March 2017 at 7.25am where the construction site's crane hit our building and shattered my floor-to-ceiling glass panel (and other units) Thankfully we were not in the dining room at that time else someone could have fallen down 23 stories. The proposed extended hours would mean that safety of all residents would now be of greater concern as more people would be home at the longer hours. I'm certain of great interest to you will be the procedure lapses that allowed this to occur, no communication from the site immediately (we had to initiate all correspondence and claims), no urgency to immediately rectify the issue notwithstanding the safety concerns and the fact that we are still awaiting for full rectification 8 months after the incident would shock most people. Therefore I don't see how this site could be given extended hours and cause further angst and sleepless nights for the community.

I strongly urge you take into account the interests of surrounding residents and reject the proposals. I trust you will maintain or further tighten the current construction hours in line with the current regulations. I expect to be notified as soon as possible of the possible outcome for the community. Thank you for your consideration.
