MOD 7 - Change to Noise Limits

Activities are already disruptive to our community. An increase of 6 decibels to the noise limit would be significant to current noise levels that we currently experiencing

Increasing noise limits to 41 dB in a residential neighbourhood will negatively impact residents' quality of life by increasing sleep disruption, stress, and the ability to enjoy our homes, while also potentially causing health issues and making it harder to relax or work from home.

The proposed increase from 30-35 dB represents a significant jump in noise intensity that will intrude on daily activities and well-being (especially at nighttime).

Studies have shown that noise levels as low as 30-35 dB can cause sleep disruption.

Even if 41 dB is not seen as 'loud', this level can be intrusive and disturbing.
