Mod 7 - Western Extension

We would like to make a formal objection to the proposed modification to Bulga Open Cut Mine for the following reasons:
* The continual expansion of this mine encroaches upon our property at the above address,
* We have experienced over the past years frequent blasting which has impacted upon our house. - Will this further expansion create more damage due to blasting?
* We experience visual pollution from this mine as the overburden is in direct vision from our home,
* We currently experience noise from this mine and believe that this expansion will create more noise and impact upon our lives,
* We currently experience dust from this mine and with further expansion we believe there will more dust.
All of the above have a negative impact upon the value of our property where we have established our home.
We would like assurance from your company that if in the future, we wish to sell our property, and due to the proximity and negative impact of this mine we are unable to do so. Will your company purchase and or compensate us with the difference if the real market value is not met.
I would like to conclude with a question. If you have so many consultants to advice landholders and your company over various issues why do you never have a property valuer to advice you as to the cost of people's properties before your mine impacts upon them?
