> Good afternoon Katherine
>
> Firstly thank you for calling me back so promptly & being so helpful.
>
> Based on your explanation that the carpark referred to in your reference as above, would be reduced by 78 car spaces, I am putting forward the following information with the following suggestion.
>
> We live in Moore Park Road & the road on the southern side is dedicated solely to bike lanes.
> These are randomly used & we feel this infrequent use does not compensate for the lack of car spaces.
>
> On the days & evenings when The Sydney Football Stadium & Cricket Ground are in use, it is so obvious that these bike lanes should not b e there. These are a few of the reasons.
>
> One whole lane in Moore Park Road cannot be used for cars, buses etc.
> There is extreme difficulty for the above to stop to drop off/pick up patrons & this can become very dangerous for patrons.
> Noted also that the number of concerts each year will now be greatly increased.
> If we are loosing 78 car spaces in the new car park, these spaces could go towards reducing that number.
>
> While I accept that Clover Moore, Lord Mayor of Sydney City Council, has made a commitment to remove the bike lane in Moore Park Road once the Bike Lane in Oxford St is completed, I am suggesting that it be removed maybe at the time of the completion of the Stadium CarPark.
>
> I would ask you to consider bringing this up with Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure & I look forward to your forwarding any feedback that you receive.
