Thankyou for the opportunity to comment on this project.
I am the senior minister of St John's North Ryde, and our community is likely to be involved in the practical and spiritual needs of future residents.
I am not objecting to the scale of the proposal, but would like the developer to incorporate findings from the MAcquarie Uni Vertical villages report and toolkit which can be found at https://verticalvillages.org.au/resources/
Noting the scale of the project, I would specifically like DPHI / Holdmark to consider offering access to a free or subsidised apartment for a community chaplain that could be operated under the auspices of Anglicare, Baptist Care, Salvation Army, Together for Ryde.
The scale of the project is not unique - but is 153m - above the current 130m height control. Given the premium of extra flats added to the total of 745 aparments, one apartment leased for such a purpose, even if only for a limited period - e.g. 10 years, would be beneficial.
I note that there are 44 affordable units proposed. Again, given the increased scope of the project above existing controls, it would be helpful to have this raised.
The notification window will not allow timing for a formal response from parish council, so I am therefore writing as a local resident. However, I am confident that our parish Council, Together for Ryde, or other faith based organisations would endorse this letter given the opportunity.
