Climate Action Newcastle continues to object to the Wambo United new mine
proposal on the basis that the mining and combustion of coal is the
leading cause of climate change, and that this new mine would
contribute more carbon emissions, via coal mining and downstream
combustion, to the escalating atmospheric temperatures on Earth.

Earth's climate is increasingly unstable and dangerous due to
atmospheric warming from carbon pollution. This mine proposal is
irresponsible and out of step with what is required by government,
private corporations and civil society, toward reducing carbon
emissions and mitigating climate change at the fastest possible rate.

Sincerely.

Glendell Extension, Mod 4 is intending to leave a final void, and to
reduce agricultural land from grade 4 to grade 8. A resource which is
harmless, sustainable, productive and employs people; utterly wiped
out forever, in favour of a hole and a wasteland.
Moreover for a product which helps kill the earth itself and pollutes
the air.
That would never be justified by any sane nation.

I object to this extension absolutely.

Thankyou.

Updated submission for organisation Climate Action Newcastle

Climate Action Newcastle objects to the Glendell Mine - Modification 4
proposal on the basis that the mining and combustion of coal is the
leading cause of climate change, and that these new mine workings
would contribute yet more carbon emissions to the escalating
atmospheric pollution that is increasing temperatures on Earth - via
the mining and downstream combustion of this coal.

Earth's climate is increasingly unstable and dangerous due to
atmospheric warming from carbon pollution. This mine proposal is
irresponsible and out of step with what is now required by government,
private corporations and civil society, toward reducing carbon
emissions and mitigating climate change at the fastest possible rate.

Sincerely,
