New Catherine Field Primary School

Oran Park has developed over the last few years and lot of young families have moved into Oran Park. There is a requirement for more schools to open in the area.
New Catherine Field Primary School will be a good step forward.

Within Catherine Park estate, there already are two schools one being a primary and the other being a high school. Along with those two schools, is a childcare centre located across the road as well. I believe by having another school in such a close proximity will cause major traffic issues during school hours. This will also cause minimal parking for the residents. I am strongly against this project and feel it will be more beneficial elsewhere, in a suburb that does not have any schools. Residents already have to listen to the school bells, children playing through out the day, the last thing they need is another school streets away from the others causing more noise and parking hassles.

I have lived in a area which has two primary schools and a high school in a close proximity and was a nightmare. Constant traffic issues, not being able to enter or leave my home due to parents double parking in the streets blocking the road. I feel this issue will definitely occur if this school is built especially since the streets in Catherine Park Estate are not very wide.
