I object to the proposed Estate because of the current lack of road structure in the area. I've written to Cumberland council about opening up the road at the western end of Butu Wargun Road to Reconciliation Road for access to Prospect road, (a simple process as there is already a bus road through there). This would alleviate a lot of the traffic that "rat runs" through Clunies Ross Street and associated small streets around there. It would also stop Rat Runs from M4 travelling to the east through the back steets (Blacktown Road) (Stoddard Road) at Prospect over the Great Western Hwy. Or join Foundation Road to Clunies Ross. Either way the traffic from theses proposed new buildings will severely clog these now over used Streets.
Thank you.

This is not for this area and should be declined. Look for somewhere else to do this.

- The increased traffic due to the logistical nature of the proposal will increase pollution to the area which will impact:
* families living in the area
* wildlife (especially those living in and around the Lakewood lake)
* local environment
- increased traffic to Clunies Ross Street especially since the opposite end of the site has a bottleneck entry/exit whereas the proposal has a number of entries/exits along Clunies Ross Rd. If the proposal proceeds, it will choke the entry and exit into Pemulwuy for residents without an added artery leaving the estate
- The eyesore of the proposed 42 metre monstrosity and the potential impact this will have on the value of the area
In order for me to consider approval of the proposal, please amend the proposal to reduce the number of entries/exits to Clunies Ross Street so vehicles are coming and going from the opposite end of the development (on the commercial side well away from residents and wildlife - create another road there if possible) and remove warehouse 1 & 2 (especially warehouse 1). All construction vehicles to enter and exit via Foundation Place to neutralise impact to residents during construction.

1) Traffic:
a) It is clearly mentioned in TfNSW and Blacktown council inputs to this logistics estate with a gross floor space 96,000 m2 and 24/7 hours operation which will generate significant amounts of freight and other heavy vehicles traffic on Clunies Ross St, Wombat St and Warin Ave.
b) There are neither entry restrictions proposed on parcel delivery vans and heavy vehicles into the local roads nor traffic calming measures by the Cumberland Council.
c) Wombat St is not a dead-end street but connected to Clunies Ross St and local roads of Lakewood side of Pemulwuy. Warin Ave and all connecting local roads will also be affected as much as Wombat St. Please attached map picture which shows how traffic will affect all Lakewood residents.
Please see marked up attachment showing affected local roads.
2) Invasion of Privacy of Closed Residential Community and Risks of PettyThefts and Crimes:
Pemulwuy Lakewood is closed residential community housing varied age group families. The community enjoys their privacy and natural surroundings and feel secure in their close vicinity. Young families with kids and elderly enjoys their morning and evening walks around Pemulwuy Lake.
This 24/7 hours industrial scale logistics estate will destroy the security and peace of the local neighbourhood.
a) Noisy and polluting logistic vehicles in our local roads will destroy the peace and security of our homes.
b) Our local roads will be an open ground for rat running by parcel delivery vans and the estate workforce light vehicles 24/7 hours to avoid Great Western Highway.
c) The logistic estate’s workforce will use Lakewood’s local roads to reach to Pemulwuy Market place and will create further parking issues.
d) Families with kids will not feel secure due to large influx of logistic vehicles and outsiders on our local roads.
e) Increased risks of petty thefts and crimes due to a big increase in outsiders floating within the suburb beyond normal working hours is a strong possibility.
3) Noise Pollution:
Increased heavy vehicle traffic on internal Pemulwuy Lakewood streets and functioning of warehouses will create lots of noise pollution in peaceful residential area.
Hence, I strongly object to the proposed development in our neighbourhood.
As a minimum the Council and the developer should impose entry restrictions to logistics vehicles and fund a traffic calming project on all affected local roads (Wombat St, Muttong St, Durawi St, Jirrang St, Warin Ave, Buran Rd, Bulbi St) in Lakewood to minimise the negative influences and damage to the Lakewood, Pemulwuy community, if the proposed logistics estate development were to be further progressed.

The local streets are narrow and traffic congestion will be a major issue on my street Warin Avenue. Our street barely has room
For 2 way local traffic currently. With the extra cars into Clunies Ross our small road will become a major thoroughfare. This is dangerous for the many young children in the area whose parents chose to live in these quiet streets without threat of traffic congestion. Proper traffic assessment has not been conducted or included in the plans.
Entrance to this development should be through Reconciliation Drive and not Clunies Ross street to maintain the Cumberland council side as residential only traffic. What measures are in place to stop Warin Avenue and surrounding streets in becoming a thoroughfare to shortcut to Greystanes, wetherill park etc.
There has not been proper consultation with local residents. Proper residential consultation should of been instigated before we received the development application. The images exhibited are misleading and does not take into account the local environment.
