I'm a civil engineer working in the infrastructure design industry in the ACT and surrounding areas of NSW. I am making this submission because of my interest and personal dedication to the very necessary trend of utilizing technology to assist in more sustainable development policies. Wind Farm technology has made great improvements recently resulting in very quiet facilities that provide a sleek look to the landscape without being too intrusive; and the clean energy benefits are very encouraging.

I have some direct knowledge of the subject proposal by Trustpower on the site north of Yass. I understand that agreements are in place with all relevant landowners, and that the impact to the surrounding road network is quite manageable. Also, Trustpower has been liaising with the surrounding Shire Councils to ensure all their needs are fairly met as part of the overall financial commitment.

So, I see no downside to the community and I heartily put forth my personal support to the project.

Yes,I support establishment/ construction of the Rye Park Wind Farm by TrustPower without reservation.
Not only will it have the potential to lower our carbon pollution footprint in electricity generation, the Farm will bring a financial benefit to the region because of the moneyflow to the landowner hosts resident in the area.
It is my opinion that windpower renewables are our preferred option in generated power production.
Therefore TrustPower has my vote of confidence in their venture.

This project has taken much too long to progress to this stage. I am glad it has come this far and support it totally.
While the government keeps on subsidising the carbon producing fuels it has to fall to private enterprise and funding the kind of energy projects that do not spell disaster for the planet.

Good morning,

I read the proposal with great enthusiasm, I strongly believe that any steps towards a cleaner world are worth while. This particular proposal for wind power in the region makes a lot of sense and will greatly benefit not just the local community but also many thousands of others. I have family in the region and they are very motivated to work towards this proposal becoming a reality and I can see why.

The local economy will benefit in a multitude of ways due to increased numbers of workers living and spending in the local community. National recognition of the area which will drive greater tourism further leading to revenue growth in the region.

Wind, solar and hydro energy should be a priority wherever possible and this region is ideal for wind power.

Kindest regards
