I object to the project in its current form.

While I support the development of the Indigenous Centre of Excellence, I object to the removal of the university carpark without equivalent alternate parking arrangements put in place on the WSU campus. Street parking in Dundas, Rydalmere and Parramatta around the university is already scarce during the semester, with many students parking on residential streets and disregarding time limits, No Parking signs and driveways. Access for residents becomes increasingly difficult, including for those who have paid for annual parking permits through Parramatta Council, during these times, and failure to maintain our improve on current levels of parking will only make this worse.

This project needs to consider how parking and University access can be improved or maintained without creating further difficulty for residents.

Supportive overall, but concerned that no additional car park is being planned to support the new visitors to this new development.

This new building would remove the largest car park on campus that currently provides ~30% of the current campus car space capacity, would be good to review the planned parking spaces, if a replacement car park of the same capacity would be sufficient.

1. Current parking does not seem sufficient as it often overspills onto Anderson/Rippon Ave. Which is fine, but drivers tend to park over half a day, despite the 30min/2-hours limit.

2. The Transport and Accessibility Impact Assessment estimates that the ICoE will increase the on-campus occupancy by 710 people for day events ~6 days a month (Table 17 of the Transport and Accessibility Impact Assessment). A replacement car park of equal capacity does not account for this additional occupancy levels introduced by this new ICoE.

3. The plan does not seem to plan for future increase in uni occupancy levels. Since the replacement car parks are to be built brand new, seems like a good opportunity to future-proof and plan for an increased occupancy levels of the campus, and would help the surge in parking requirements for day/night events expected of the new IcoE

Overall: Maybe worth having additional basement parking in the new ICoE, or increase the capacity of the two planned P1 Replacement Car Parks
