Completely inappropriate development and structure for this area: out of character with the Walter burley griffin heritage designed area homes, far too large compared to any local development; very poor local road access for so many proposed new residents on Eastern Valley Way which is already suffering from poor traffic management; too far from transport for so many proposed new residents; lacks community support; needs to be a much better designed development of 4-5 stories to be in keeping with the area and needs for increased residences. Development at this site does NOT appear to be addressing the need for new homes for middle income residents....rather this represents expensive housing for profit of developers. Please allow the community to be involved in a complete re-design of the site.

I object to the height of the project being eleven stories.
It is completely out of place at eleven stories at the gateway to Castlecrag.
Three stories would be acceptable. With the residents in the new building at eleven stories, traffic would be a nightmare.
Remenbering also the new shopping centre would have shopping traffic in and out all day.
Then also there will be a major shadowing problem for the local area from eleven storey buildings.

I object on the grounds of:
Scale - too large for a small suburb with no railway line or metro line - closest being Chatswood. Bus service is not regular.
Over-shadowing - due to scale and the position on the top of a hill it will over-shadow into Willoughby and surrounding streets of Castlecrag. Whilst the site is not in the Griffin heritage area it will completely overshadow the southern escarpment of Edinburgh Road, which is the Griffin Heritage zone. This area is not allowed buildings greater than 2 stories in height.
Traffic Issues: there is only one direct street in and out of Castlecrag, the development site sits at the entrance to the suburb.
Much of Castlecrag is in a flame zone, I am concerned about the ingress and egress of emergency vehicles to the area.
I am not opposed to some development but feel a lower building would be more appropriate.

As a NSW citizen that frequents the northern suburbs, I advocate for Castlecrag project - once this project is completed, not only will it inject life into the suburb with increased amenity (shopping centre), support civilian wellness, create more employment opportunities and overall create the town’s new epicentre for the suburb
