The side effects to native animals and vegetation is to vast.
The side effects on people living near to these windfarms is to detrimental.
Please do not make wind turbine farm in our area

I object to the Bobs Farm Sand Mine for the following reasons:
* It is a large scale quarry processing activity which is against the amenity and rural character of the Port Stephens area and such industrial activity is a risk to the economic survival of an area reliant on tourism.
* There are already many heavy vehicle movements in the area which is the main entry to Port Stephens and to add so many more not only creates a safety issue on the road and the roundabout at Port Stephens Drive but, if an accident were to occur, would close the access and egress to the area.
* The Sand Mine would destroy native vegetation and the habitat of koalas, powerful owls, flying foxes and other animals and also impact the sensitive groundwater system.

To whom it may concern, I'm a resident at Sunrise Village. The proposal that's put forward to TRUCK fully Ladden dry sand past our beautiful village daily Approximately 530,000 Tones per year. This will become a nightmare of road noise, road repair epically when raining and Port Stephens council, not so quick to repair roads. The sand dust alone will have impact on our houses and Village. At the moment to access Nelson Bay Road is from a side street this is hard as it is let alone with multiple trucks daily added to the main road. This could result in Smash up Derby; we are an over 55 village, but the average age is 70 with 80+ SENIORS

A sand mine in this area has already ben rejected. This submission hasn't shown to be any different in it's approach than the last one, except to say that it will be a "dry" mine as opposed to a wet one. I still believe that mining this much sand (more than double the amount per year than the next nearest sand mine, which must be only 2-3km away) should not be permitted in this area. It is a rural community, reasonably well populated, has a school within 500 metres, backs onto an ecotourism facility and will require every single truck & dog that leaves the mine to travel approx. 7km away from the mine, to do a u-turn at a roundabout that is not really large enough in diameter to handle such a turn. I should imagine there would be around 100 of these such movements everyday at an intersection which at times doesn't cope with its current load.
