I object to this project as it destroys our farming land and is way to close to our town of Narromine. We choose to live in this beautiful town for its landscape and this will destroy the landscape

I oppose this project because the supply chain involves the use of slave labour. Cobalt and copper artisanal mining relies in slave labour in the DRC and the production of components in China uses slave labour. Stop these degrading projects.

I oppose this project because it is very unlikely that the decommissioning, removal and land rehabilitation will occur due to the exorbitant cost that will be involved. The cost in 20 years or so time will likely exceed today's cost to build the project. Unlike mining companies there is no requirement for this developer to lodge a bond to cover this future cost. Who will ultimately pay? The new owner of the plant, the host landholders, the local ratepayers or the State and/or Federal governments. The project must not be approved unless such a bond is in place.

I object to this proposed project because:
Food Security Impacted
Australia is a signatory to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Article 2, partly reproduced below, requires in Article 2 section 1(b) that actions taken to reduce greenhouse emissions is to be done "in a manner that does not threaten food production". Clearly this project will utilise some of Australia's 6% of agricultural land and therefore threaten food production now and in future generations. If the project is approved then it will be in breach of Australia's obligations under this article.
"Article 2
1. This Agreement, in enhancing the implementation of the Convention, including its objective, aims to strengthen the global response to to the threat of climate change, in the context of sustainable development and efforts to eradicate poverty, including by:
(b) Increasing the ability to adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change and foster climate resilience and low greenhouse gas emissions development, in a manner that does not threaten food production;"
Fails Other Paris Agreement Requirements
In addition, the project will have an immediate and long-term increase in greenhouse emissions prior to completion of the project, require an unsustainable ten or more times the materials by weight per KWh produced over 50 years than an equivalent capacity HELE, CCGT or Nuclear power plant. As is the overseas and Australian experience to date, the addition of wind and BESS projects to the grid increases electricity costs to consumers, which increases household poverty and results in business failures.
In summary, this project fails to meet the requirements of the Paris Agreement, to which Australia is a signatory. It will make no measurable impact on climate; it is an unsustainable development due to excessive materials use; it substantially increases greenhouse gases at both ends of the project; increases poverty within Australia and overseas where slave labour is used in the mining and manufacturing processes; and will reduce food production throughout the project life and likely beyond due to soil contamination.

Project Summary: 38 wind turbines with a total nameplate capacity of 236MW, located primarily on 88km2 of agricultural land. In addition, a BESS of 200MW/400MWh is proposed.

SOS objects to the proposed Wallaby Creek Wind Works project for the reasons detailed in the attachment:

As a property owner that boundary the Wallaby Creek Wind Farm I would like to object to this project for numerous reasons.
Land devaluation is inevitable, but no compensation is offered to boundary neighbours of the project. I would like Acciona to produce recent stats on property devaluation in renewable hub areas.
Dust & noise during 2+ years of construction whilst they bulldoze trees and clear the land for new roads and infrastructure.
Significant traffic delays with 110 truck & 110 vehicle/day as stated in the EIS during construction.
Telecommunication issues, reception issues.
Numerous wildlife casualty’s & moralities.
Unrealized future health issues, with weathered minute particles off the fan.

Tantitha road is not a part of Narromine or Tomingley, they are their own community and should have a large say as to what the CBSP fund is used for.
I believe that the CBSP offered during the 2 years of construction should go to the Tantitha neighbourhood, the actual community that the project affects.
The Narromine Shire residents will not be dealing with the traffic delays, noise and dust that the Tantitha residents have to look forward to.

I heavily object to this project going ahead. My property on Tantitha rd is very close to the southern end of the project and the house is a rental. Acciona has done visual impact studies from the house showing very small impact, I disagree with this and think the visual of the turbines will be obvious from the property. The proposal of the wind farm has already impacted our rental, as potential tenants have pulled out their application due to the house being so close to the turbines. All the unknown interferences and health impacts that go along with this project eg noise, telecommunication problems, dust etc, is losing us potential tenants. During the construction we are aware that there will be traffic delays on both Tantitha rd and the Newell highway, this will affect all of my family and the tenants families. But the biggest concern which we have seen in other renewable project areas first hand is the devaluation in land value. Who wants to buy a property next to a wind farm, not many, unless of course it cheap. Narromine Shire will prosper from this project, Acciona the overseas company will prosper from this project, but the residents of the Tantitha neighborhood and those properties that boundary the wind farm that aren't getting any compensation from the project, they are the ones that will suffer from the construction and operation the Wallably Creek Wind Farm. They deserve a high percentage of the community fund that is going to the Shire as the majority of residence don't use Narromine as their local town and will never reep any reward by the way the Shire will spend this fund.
