This project can only be beneficial to the area. From what I have read and heard, this project will give the area an injection of funds and employment, that it has never seen before. I have travelled through the area on several occasions but have never really stayed for any length of time. This project can change this, and make the area a real tourist attraction. It appears to be a massive opportunity that would be tragically lost, if it were not to proceed.

My husband and I visit the Trundle area because of its pristine rural features, we DON'T want to see gigantic ugly wind turbines blocking up the scenery. The entire area will lose its charm and tourist trade. Wind Turbines are dangerous to human health and the bird wildlife, they're not majestic they are ugly and dangerous. Please stop this project.

I support the wind farm as wind farms are a major start to a sustainable future in creating energy. In my opinion sustainable energy supersedes peoples negative views. I believe it is important to support wind farms into the future, power plants are dying and won't last forever.

As the owner operator of a small business in Nundle we welcome the establishment of the Hills of Gold Wind Farm. It will bring with it many benefits, not just economic, but also much needed environmental change, our world is feeling the affect of our impact on it, such as the reliance on fossil fuel to generate our energy. We have witnessed the bullying behaviour in our community by a number of those opposed to the project. While difference of opinion is expected on matters such as this, the final outcome will hopefully bring about social healing in the community. Our children will inherit what we create so it is important that we put in place projects such as the windfarm to give them a better environmentally sound world in which to live.
Nundle, Hanging Rock, Crawney and the surrounding area are reliant on tourism to generate income for local business and service providers. The region, particularly Nundle, has a heavy reliance on tourism as a source of income. We see the potential for increased tourism to be generated as a result of the establishment of the Hills of Gold Wind farm. We are definitely big fans!

I strongly oppose the Hills of Gold Wind Farm at Nundle.
From a local prospective it will significantly impact several landholders around the district. Not only will the value of their properties be devalued, they will receive no financial benefit from the wind farm or compensation for having the wind farm on a neighbouring property.
Nundle's economy is based largely on tourism, people like to visit the village for the natural beauty of the surrounding hills. The Dag Sheep Station events centre hosts events and weddings. I don't know how many brides want wind farms in the background of their wedding photos, give me a paddock with a few trees any day.
The other issue I have is who pays for the dismantling of the wind turbines in 20 years? The company is French, what acuities can the Govenment give for if the international company goes bust and can't afford to dismantle the wind farm?
There is a broader issue of renewable energy being placed in the bush, once again the regions are producing the wealth for NSW and the Nation, but get all the negative impacts of having a wind farm in our backyard with little benefit to the wider community. We chose to live in the country for a reason, we like living in the bush, being surrounded by nature. I don't want to be surround by industrial wind farms.

I am in full support of the Hills of Gold Wind Farm as I fully support creating employment. I have worked in the Nundle area regularly for the past 3 years and look forward to the opportunity for more work to help support me and my family. I love supporting the local businesses in the community. I've seen wind farms in Victoria on flat land coinciding with sheep, cattle and farming country. This is the way forward for sustainable energy.
