I wish to declare a statement of support for the Chain Valley Colliery Modification 3 and Mannering Colliery Modification 5.
Reasons for Support:
The main reason for my support of these proposals is that they will assist in providing continued employment prospects for my collegues and I.
Declaration of reportable political donations made in the previous two years:
I have not made a reportable political donations in the previous two years.

I support the project on the basis of security of fuel supply for the ongoing operations of the Vales Point power station.

I wish to push my support for this project.
I currently work at the mine which supplies the neighbouring power station . This arrangement is able to increase the efficiency of the power station through removing transport energy of the supply of coal from alternate mines around Australia. This also has a cost advantage for both supplier, consumer and in turn the public. This is important in the transition to cleaner energy.
Chain valley also employs over 250 workers directly and impacts indirectly thousands of 3rd party workers from Vales point power station, contractors, suppliers of goods, oem's and local community groups.

This is a valuable project and will ensure not only the continuation of a local business (i.e. Chain Valley Colliery) which has been operating in the area since 1962, and it's employees, contractors and associated local businesses but will also support the neighboring Power station which together provide secure power for the state of NSW required for the economy, but will also provide ongoing long term local employment for numerous members of the community to the benefit of everyone in those braod communities.
