I would like to object to this mine increasing any additional areas. .
With the mine continuation of the nearby Lake Coal what studies have been done to protect the local community.
With the increase complaints of coal dust from residents of Mannering Park, who owns the coal dust. Delta, Lake Coal
or this other environmental vandal Mannering colliery.
What is happening with the mine water from this mine.
Is this mine water entering Lake Macquarie via the same creek as Lake Coal uses which is now under investigation
by the EPA , Has any testing been done higher up this natural watercourse to see what contaminates have been
deposited before reaching the discharge point of Lake Coal if this is indeed the watercourse.
The voluntary planning agreement is a joke at 2 cents per tonne, even Lake Coal is offering 3.5 cents and this still
is nothing compared to the damage this mine has done in the past to the local area.
This money needs to go into a community fund controlled by the local community and not Wyong shire council
which has a history of not giving good value for money when money is available from government grants.
What is Mannering Colliery going to do about the infestation of Pine trees that is now out of control in sensitive
area's that has originated from the main entrance drive of a large row of pines. this is now infesting the endangered
Charmhaven apple gum that has now been identified near this mine entry.
I also object to any mining under Mannering Park , Subsidence issues from past mining is now starting to show
with local resident properties in Mannering Park , the community has no confidence in the Mine Subsidence board
especially the Wyong office.
After 20 years residences of Chain Valley Bay are still seeking compensation from the mine subsidence board.
What compensation has the board made to the Colongra wetlands that was illegally mined 20 years ago.
What compensation has the mine subsidence made to correct sunken foreshore at Mannering Park in front
of the local scout hall???
There is a history of illegal mining in this area so what independent studies have been undertaken to investigate
the extent of mining that should never have occurred.
Who is responsible for the creek collapse in Wyee creek ????? Was this also illegal mining???
This mine does not deserve to be allowed a licence until it starts to amend the wrongs of the past.
What long wall mining has taken place under Mannering Park 20 years ago ??? what long wall mining was done
in the Mannering bay area ??? Subsidence issues are now thought to be caused by land strain buy this practice.
What surveying will be undertaken before mining occurs under home in Mannering park , will it be your standard
practice of putting survey pegs on roads where mining will not occur, your good at this practice.
The residents of Mannering Park and further afield have no confidence in the mines to do the right thing,
the mine subsidence board to compensate fairly or the Planning department to listen to the concerns of
the residence who pay their wages.

We request a contribution per tonne of coal to be put into the trust that will be set up to administer the 3.5 Cents per tonne that Chain Valley Colliery has to do.
