Please do not allow the proposed Coal Seam Gas pipeline to travel 900 km
across our precious country.
CSG pipes leak quite frequently if you research it and australia's
water supply is too important to be damaged in this way.

This pipeline traverses ten local government areas, crossing several
rivers and beautiful farmland and bush-land between the Queensland
border and Newcastle.
The company claims there are no changes to the environmental or
amenity impacts, but that ignores changes that happen over time. New
ecological communities have been listed as endangered, National Parks
have been extended, new towns have emerged and existing towns have
grown, new farming enterprises have been embarked upon, and the
justification for the project has dramatically changed.
The landscape through which this pipeline proposes to run has changed
over the last decade and with it, so has the impact this pipeline will
inflict on people, the environment and local economies. It is not
acceptable for the Department of Planning to extend the deadline for
this consent by another five years.

I am lodging this protest against the Queensland-Hunter Pipeline for a
number of reasons some of which are listed below:
1) The mining of CSG gas is itself risky and threatens water supplies.
2) Coal seam gas will contribute to global warming.
3) The pipeline passes by the precious Pilliga.
4) It also passes through rich cropping lands south of Moree and on
the Liverpool Plains.
5) It crosses the Namoi River five times, and the Hunter River on the
outskirts of Aberdeen, Morpeth and Tomago, cutting the wetlands of Ash
Island to the North Arm of the Hunter River on Kooragang Island.
6)The Hunter Valley has already had its rivers and landscapes degraded
and this project threatens to endanger other farming and tourism
economies.
7) The company claims there are no changes to the environmental or
amenity impacts, but that ignores changes that happen over time. New

After living in the Namoi Valley area for many years I know how important
this food bowl is to the whole of Australia. Any pipe line would have
a negative effect on many aspects of the environment with the risk of
damage just being unacceptable and for the sake of our children's
future must be stopped.
The short term financial gain is not justification for a long term
impact to people, the landscape and the environment

I am deeply concerned about the likelyhood of this pipeline traversing a
huge amount of land including pristine forests, farmland, rivers and
newly erected communities that would all be potentially negatively
affected by an CSG pipeline. cSG must not be even mined in the first
place as it destroys farmland and rivers and the water table making
future living in that area highly toxic. I have a friend who's farm
has been in their family for generations and now it is ruined by CSG
exploration and they have to sell as their animals relied on the boat
water and that's now too polluted and the family can't live any longer
in the polluted farm. Suicide has been a consideration for the owners
who's lives are ruined

I am a land owner in the Warrunbungle Shire, opposing the destructive
Coal Seam Gas industry. I have chosen to move from the city to rural
NSW, invest my money and raise my children here. I will not sacrafise
my family and future on the land for this destructive industry. This
pipeline passes by the Pilliga, neighbouring my land and the company
behind the pipeline is eager to transport CSG drilled from the Pilliga
to Queensland or Newcastle. We will stop this horrid industry as will
the economic and climatic reasoning.

I'm totally opposed to the 5 year extension of this pipeline. It will
greatly increase the sense of uncertainty for the numerous landholders
it will adversely affect, including their decisions about planting and
harvesting.
