I am in support of this project and believe it will bring jobs and stability into the economy for the area.

The continuation of mining at HVO provides a career opportunity in a regional area close to family and friends. HVO provides employment and a decent income to support a family without having to relocate to a major city for work. The approval of the development consent will allow this to continue for an extended period whilst the region ultimately transitions away from coal mining.

After reading all the information about the continuation project, I support the mine because the amount of people directly and indirectly employed by it is will have too big an impact on the community. Also the benefits for the area like a new flood proof bridge over the Hunter River at Jerrys Plains to replace Moses Crossing at no cost to the public will be a great asset to the area. Local Charities and communities also benefit from a wide variety of donations from HVO. The Royalties for Australia from the mine is enormous, also which helped Australia through the pandemic. The environmental controls that the company have to adhere to are taken very seriously by not only the company, but the workers as well because they live in the area and don't want to spoil it for their children an grandchildren.

HVO is a vital workplace in the Hunter Region. It's large scale provides direct jobs for 1500+ employees. Not only does HVO employ directly, they contract employees, which further creates local jobs. As an apprentice of this workplace, I have received endless amounts of training which I would not be provided with elsewhere. HVO is well backed by the community and often receives positive feedback from locals. HVO prides themselves on giving back to our local community (Singleton). This project fuels the economy throughout the Hunter Valley.

Hvo supports the community with funding for various projects locally provides wages for not only its employees but lots of other businesses that provide services to the mine the government also uses the royalties for roads and hospitals etc

I am writing to support the hvo project to extend the life of the mine . Hvo has provided me with a job for my career allowing me to save to buy my first home locally be able to travel the world and live a happy life . Hvo not only support the local community but look after the employees greatly .

This expansion will not only provide job security for hundreds employed directly by the mine but thousands more within the Newcastle and Hunter regions
