Open and Creative Planning Reforms

The planning proposal seeks to amend the Sydney Local Environmental Plan 2012 (Sydney LEP 2012); Sydney LEP 2005; Sydney LEP (Green Square Town Centre) 2013; Sydney LEP (Green Square Town Centre Stage 2) 2013; Sydney LEP (Glebe Affordable Housing Project) 2011; Sydney LEP (Harold Park) 2011; South Sydney LEP 1998; and South Sydney LEP No. 114 (Southern Industrial and Rosebery/Zetland Planning Districts) to:
• make it easier for shops and business to trade in central Sydney and local centres from 7am to 10pm, seven days a week;
• make it easier for small scale cultural activities to take place in existing office, industrial, retail and community facility buildings;
• make it easier for creative and maker tenants to locate in B2 Local Centres; and
• maintain and extend the current community uses available for Erskineville Town Hall.
