Eden Estates, Wallsend

Proposal:  

The proposal will investigate rezoning 574 hectares of vacant land, located at 144 Boundary Road, Wallsend, 35-35B Frederick Street, Glendale and 1 Glendon Crescent, Glendale, to provide up to 4,200 dwellings, including affordable housing, employment and supporting community facilities.

Technical studies are currently underway to better understand the site’s constraints and opportunities, including the careful consideration of areas suited to long-term environmental protection and conservation.  

These investigations will inform how the site could contribute to future housing, employment, open space and biodiversity outcomes to support the Hunter region’s long-term growth and needs.
