Sutherland Shire
The SDP identifies Sutherland as one of two Strategic Centres in the Shire. The NSW Government has provided Sutherland Shire Council with housing target of 6,000 new homes by 2029; & jobs target of 8000 new jobs in Sutherland by 2034. To meet this, the planning proposal seeks to increase the height and density, providing more diverse homes & employment in well-located areas with existing infrastructure capacity. It also seeks increasing residential development in surrounding areas consistent with LMR.
