Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to express my strong opposition to Spark Energy's proposed Dinawan Wind Energy Project Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). While renewable energy projects are essential for reducing our carbon footprint and combating climate change, this particular project raises several significant concerns that must be addressed before any approval can be granted.

Show me the X on the map offered and show me it exactly so that it will be the particular man or woman who Gave Permission to build solar farms, and wind farms ?, upon the Lines in the Lore of the Hay area Wetlands.

In this area there are 48 regions and they regions, yes, they are. How did a man or woman enable the company Spark Renewables Pty Ltd ACCESS to these areas Known.

In the government will there be a action enacted toward those who break the Lore ? Well ? I Do Demand a Royal Commission into :

This project is not environmentally friendly.
This Project is not "green" the foot print is massive the logistics and roads are unsuitable. Thousands of tonnes of steel, cement, gravel, sand, oil, will destroy land and property and roads. Destroy habitat for wildlife cause unmeasurable damage to surrounding properties in the event of starting bushfire, frequency changes and noise pollution. How many fire units do you propose to supply to the community? Completely inappropriate for a National Park to used for this hazardous monstrosity, purchased to conserve nature...looks like they had plans for it. Not a good look. I extremely object to this project.

The main reason for objection is the cumulative impacts of several projects in the local area on Biodiversity, especially migratory birds.
Other reasons for objection include lack of consideration for the long-term sustainability of the wind turbines and the process for removing them once they are redundant and no longer needed due to more efficient power generation sources elsewhere such as nuclear replacing their power demand.
In addition the everlasting impact on agricultural production in the area due to disruption to air spaces, community and other factors that will cause local people not benefitting from the projects to move away from the community permanently.

- Significant reduction in agricultural productivity and profitability i.e. inability to use spray planes due to wind towers.
- Harming native Flora and Fauna habitats and their communities in particular migratory bird species.
- Decreasing land values of neighbouring properties and social disruption.

This project has major implications to the local community which I believe has not even been made a factor by those planning and is very frustrating to the local community. As someone who has grown up in the aerial firefighting and emergency services industry, I know how important accessibility is to those fighting fires. The area is known for its dry hot summers with grass fires frequenting the area often. By continuing with this project, you are increasing the risk of the damage caused by fires as interventions including planes, aircraft and even accessibility caused by trucks will be limited.

We know that the environment with its uniqueness, endangered flora and fauna are not high on the developers list, but they are ours! As life long farmers in the district these enormous structures have no place on our agricultural lands. Their real output is overstated and is not enough to disregard the size of the footprint this project is planning.

My objection is wind turbines is I feel that they could be classed as a key threatening process because they are on the flight path of Australian Painted Snipe. Which there are less than 400 individuals known in Australia. As well as the Australasian Bittern which there are 2500 individuals and are listed within 110 of the federal governments highly threatened species list.
With regards to painted snipe recent research from Matt Herring Ecologist, that there is an important flight path between the Southern Murray Riverina wetlands and associated RAMSAR sites and northern Australia. This Dinawan project in conjunction with the aggregated curtain of wind turbines across the southern renewable energy zone will have a major impact on the flight path of these birds. It is not currently known the height these species fly at and likely that wind turbines up to 320 m in height will severely impact these populations without further research. It's incumbent upon the government to do more research on these species before they can make a decision related to the environmental impacts of these turbines.

This project is not in the public interest.

If we want electricity 2 days out of 7 and are happy to destroy our environment then this would be in the public interest.

Filling our land with cement, destroying native habitat, using millions of litres of water daily (for cement production and dust suppression) is environmental vandalism.

The result of this project will be increased extinctions of native flora and fauna, social disaster as rural communities shrink when nobody lives on the land surrounding the towns and increased waste (blades needs replacing regularly and cannot be recycled) and decreased reliable power.

Where is the map showing the amount of land that will be covered by this toxic rubbish in the SW REZ?

I object to this adverse cumulative impacts from this wind factory proposal.
The social, economic and environmental impacts are unacceptable.
Stop this madness now.
If this project proceeds, there must be a condition of consent requiring the wind turbine blades be BPA free.
A decommissioning bond must be paid up front & held by Govt.

This project will contribute to unrecyclable toxic waste, electricity blackouts, native flora and fauna extinctions and less people living in these communities. Nobody wants to live in an industrial wasteland.

The proposed Dinawan wind farm is creating huge conflict between the small community north of jerilderie. Once a small tightly held community, there has been a lot of conjection with the for and against the project. Creating a huge political, social and economical divide in the small community, the general consensus between family’s has been intense, which is creating an unhealthy place to be in! Grass fire danger, devaluation of land values, sound, natural disturbance and unsustainable wind structures that don’t have a sufficient decommissioning plan are some of the many issues that we are having to fight for. Unfair and unreasonable to put it on our door step. Create a better way to lower energy costs. Wind isn’t the answer. When the wind doesn’t blow, energy prides grow

I strongly object to this project as this local area is a highly productive agricultural region in harmony with incredible biodiversity!
The cumulative impacts of several projects will decimate unique flora and fauna including migratory native birds, kangaroo and other native specie distribution across the region etc.
The disruption and disrepair to our local roads will be severely impacted, the safely of local agricultural traffic disrupted and safety jeopardized. The increased fire risk and subsequent fire control to near neighbour's has been completely disregarded and enormously underestimated, as has the exhorbinant increase in insurance implications to near neighbour's.

My main objections to this massive Dinawan Wind development are as follows.
1. The Paris Agreement states that Agricultural Land is to be protected from the type of developments proposed. That is utilising grazing but more importantly arable land to establish Wind Industrial Complexes.
Only 4 per cent to 6 per cent of Australia's land mass is arable.
2. Much of the development money is from a Chinese Company connected to The Chinese Communist Party and therefore The Chinese Governnment. Australia has already witnessed how China treats other nations who question
their policies. To have The P. R. C. Construct power systems for Australia seems ludicrous. Particularly as these systems do not provide reliable power and at the same time make China stronger and weaken Australia.
3. The hoped for introduction of AUKUS must surely point out the need for a Nuclear Power Industry particularly for South Australia.
4. When both the Federal and State Governments wake up to the fact that we are living in The Nuclear Age one would hope that the unbridled spread of these unreliable tax payer subsidised operations providing unreliable power would be limited.
5. What agency when common sense prevails is going to remove these installations that are a blight on our wonderful Australian landscape and are making a few wealthy and the majority of Australians poorer in a number of ways.

As a local to this area, I object strongly to the Dinawan Wind Farm proposal for the following reasons:
1. Lack of Proper Planning: These renewable energy projects are popping up randomly everywhere in our surrounding area with no proper planning. It appears that these proposals are being approved without a comprehensive strategy or consideration of the long-term impacts on our community and environment.
2. Impact on Mental Health: I have seen firsthand the impact these proposals are having on the mental health of my community. The uncertainty and disruption caused by these projects are contributing to significant stress and anxiety among residents. Our community deserves to live in a stable and supportive environment, free from the constant worry of invasive developments.
3. Biodiversity Hotspot and Productive Food-Producing Region: We are in a biodiversity hotspot and one of the most productive food-producing regions in the nation. The impacts this will have on this area are irreversible. The Dinawan proposal threatens the delicate balance of our ecosystem and jeopardises the agricultural productivity that our region is known for. The loss of biodiversity and fertile land would have long-term detrimental effects on our environment and economy.
4. Insufficient Consideration of Long-Term Effects: The effects of these proposals have not been well thought out. There seems to be no comprehensive assessment of the long-term impacts on our community, environment, and economy. As far as I can see, there is no cradle-to-grave policy that ensures the responsible management and decommissioning of these projects once they are no longer viable. This lack of foresight and planning is deeply concerning.
